About Us

LCQC is a nonprofit organization that helps impoverished children in different areas of Trujillo: Alto Trujillo and Salaverry. Our main goal is to develop self-esteem in children through different methods and workshops and cultural exchanges. LCQC also runs the school reinforcement program, the English teaching program, Physical education, artist workshops and micro-projects with low-income Families.

Program Director - Lima

We are currently looking for passionate individuals who are dedicated to ending inequality and poverty particularly interested in providing equal opportunities to children in Perú.

Being a Program Director for La Comunidad que Construimos is a one of kind opportunity to work towards creating access to new educational experiences that open doors of opportunity, manage an international team and build a sustainable NGO, while becoming part of the community. We see a Program Director as an integral part of our mission to uplift children and families from disadvantaged backgrounds as well as the a person we can all look to for guidance and inspiration.


  • Management of social networking and marketing.
  • Recruitment of international and local volunteers.
  • Writing grants and organizing fundraising events.
  • Development of curriculum for after-school programming.
  • Maintain national and international network
  • Being point of contact for volunteers, LCQC team, and partnering schools.
  • Delegating responsibilities for administrative task to teams.
  • Supporting volunteers to maximize their cultural experience and success.
  • Conduct workshops to train volunteers for their first day.
  • Weekly meetings with the board and with the volunteer to provide feedback and coordination.


  • Commitment of a minimum of six months living in Perú.
  • Experience leading and managing.
  • Non-profit experience.
  • Work in Latin America not required but preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required and Masters degree is a plus but not required in education, non-profit management, international relations/development, Latin American studies, project management, psychology, english, development. Not only these but in this field are preferred.
  • Ability to find problems and solutions.
  • Independance.
  • Open-minded and driven.
  • Spanish and English Intermediacy.
  • Respect for cultural diversity
  • Ability to work with a team.
  • Positive attitude and adaptable.
